| Attention Authors and Illustrators: Please note that we wil not be accepting submissions during the end of the year / holiday period. Submissions or queries, whether by email or regular post, must arrive no later than December 15th. Please note that after 12/17 all emailed queries will be deleted, and regular mail discarded until we're open again for submissions. We will once again review new queries after January 17. The Chudney Agency is a full-service literary agency devoted to Children’s books, representing books in many formats and genres, focusing most particularly on picture books, middle-grade novels, and teen fiction.
We are now accepting select submissions for author/illustrator packages, middle grade, and teen novels. As we are a small agency, we don’t expect to take on more than a handful new novelists this year, so we’ll be very selective. Please see our Submission Guidelines for specific information.
We are not interested in any fantasy or science fiction.
Note: With the exception of author/illustrator packages, The Chudney Agency is not accepting unsolicited submissions for picture book texts for the next several months. We’re very sorry for this, but as the picture book market continues to be soft, editors are still not acquiring many of them. Once the tides change, so will our submission policy for picture book texts.
